Judges 6.14-16; 7.1-8
“Moving On”
The objective of the sermon was to show that God helps us move beyond our past. Whatever agonizing experiences and/or circumstances that may be in our past God can and does provide the opportunity to move on. There are times in life when we all wonder can we move beyond the pains, misfortune, embarrassment and blunders of our past. The biography of Gideon is certainly a life filled with highs and lows. However, a formula for victory can be found within Gideon’s story against the odds he was able to move on and claim victory, and we can claim victory as well. The main point of the sermon were:
1. Be Courageous. v. 3
2. Be Careful. v. 6-7
3. Be Committed. v. 8ff.
Conclusion:
Victory still comes to those who are courageous and put their faith and trust in God. Victory comes to those who are careful to watch for any negativity that might prevent their opportunity to claim victory. Also, victory comes to those who are committed to God and the plan of God.
Once again I tried to share that same age old story about a God that comes to the aid of His children.
God Bless
